Terms of use

Double Dart is a private platform built for the graduating class of 2026 at the National Institute of Technology Hamirpur. You sign in with your @nith.ac.in Google account, you pick up to twenty people you admire, and on May 14, 2026, only mutual matches are revealed to either side.

That, in full, is the product.

Double Dart is not a dating app. It is not a confession service. It is not a guarantee that the person you pick will pick you back, want to meet you, want to keep talking to you, or want to date you.

A match means two people, at one quiet moment, marked each other on a list. Nothing more is promised, and nothing more is implied.

You may use Double Dart only if all of the following are true:

• you are enrolled at, or graduating from, NIT Hamirpur in the class of 2026;
• you hold a valid @nith.ac.in Google account;
• you are at least 18 years of age; and
• you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms in full.

Sharing your account with anyone else, or allowing another person to operate it on your behalf, terminates your right to use the platform.

You agree, as a condition of using Double Dart, to be respectful, gentle, and kind to every person whose name appears on this platform, and to every person with whom you are matched after the reveal.

You will not, under any circumstance:

• harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or follow any other user, whether online or in person;
• contact a matched person again after they have asked you, directly or indirectly, not to;
• share, screenshot, broadcast, or publish another user’s contact details, photograph, name, or roll number anywhere outside of your private conversation with that person;
• create, operate, or sign in to Double Dart through a fake, borrowed, or impersonated identity;
• attempt to access, scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with data belonging to other users, including by automated means;
• use the platform to defame, blackmail, mock, or publicly expose any other user.

The purpose of Double Dart ends at the moment of the reveal.

Whatever follows between two matched people, whether conversation, silence, friendship, romance, awkwardness, conflict, joy, or anything else, is entirely between the two of you. We are not a party to it. We do not mediate it, monitor it, supervise it, or arbitrate it. We make no representation that a matched person will reply to you, meet you, like you in any deeper sense, or be in any way the person you imagined.

We ask, simply and sincerely, that you be humble with whoever crushed you back. That was the entire point of building this.

To operate Double Dart, we collect and retain:

• the account information returned by your @nith.ac.in Google sign-in;
• the profile details you enter on the platform;
• the picks you make, and the time at which you made them.

We do not sell, rent, license, or transfer this data to any third party for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any other commercial purpose.

Your picks are visible only to you while the platform remains open, and to the people you mutually match with on or after May 14, 2026.

After the reveal, mutual matches will see each other’s profile and the contact details they have chosen to share on the platform. By using Double Dart, you consent to that disclosure between matched parties, and you understand that it is the practical consequence of the platform working as intended.

You may, at any time and without giving a reason, ask us to delete your account and all data associated with it. Write to us at team@doubledart.fun from your @nith.ac.in address. We will action the request within a reasonable period.

Deletion is permanent. Picks you made will be removed; matches you were part of will reflect your absence.

Double Dart is provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no warranty, express or implied, that the platform will be uninterrupted, free from error, secure against every conceivable threat, or that any specific person will appear in your matches.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neither the team behind Double Dart nor any contributor to it shall be liable for:

• the conduct of any other user, before, during, or after a match;
• the outcome of any conversation, meeting, friendship, or relationship that follows a match;
• any emotional, reputational, social, professional, or other harm you may experience in connection with a match, the absence of one, or the disclosure permitted under these terms;
• any loss of data arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of third-party service providers.

We may update these terms before the reveal date. Material changes will be communicated through the platform itself. Continued use of Double Dart after a change indicates your acceptance of the updated terms.

This service was built quietly, by students, for the graduating batch. It was built because admiration is a small, soft thing that the world too often makes embarrassing, and we wanted to give it one safe place to land.

Use it like a good thing, not a weapon. The best version of this product is one in which every single person, mutual or not, walks away kinder than they arrived.
